We purchased a truck in Florida for my husband to use upon his return from Afghanistan and then had to work out shipment to Kansas City. My husband had submitted our bid through a bidding system of some sort and I proceeded to get inundated with dozens of calls. The process was overwhelming and as a mom with 2 small kids, on my own, and a fulltime career, I did not have time to deal with the process. I used this site to try and identify a better way to get bids and came across Transport Connection. I liked Bill's frankness and gave him a call on a Friday. While on the phone with him he looked at comparables and put a bid together for$700 to see what activity we would get. While we talked he thought of the name of a driver in my area with whom he'd done business before, and gave him a call. Within a few minutes we had actually gotten a quote for $650 for pickup in a few days and delivery the following Monday. I received notice from the car dealership that the car was picked up as scheduled on Tuesday. The driver contacted me on the anticipated date of delivery and let me know he was waiting on a customer for drop off in St Louis.. if that individual had decided to be on time, I'd have had my vehicle on the delivery date we'd originally discussed. However, the other customer made the driver wait most of the day, and after speaking on the phone, we agreed to arrange for delivery at 9am the next morning. By 9:15 the next day, I had my vehicle delivered to my driveway by Randy, who was very kind and delivered the vehicle in exactly the condition we expected. Later that morning, Bill called to confirm delivery with me. Bill was worth his fee in that I didn't have to worry about questionable drivers, dealing with tons of phone calls, sorting through numerous bids, and could have confidence in his experience in the industry and advocacy on my behalf.
