I currently reside in Minnesota. I have a 1991 Nissan Twin Turbo 300 Z which was my first sports car that I had cared for diligently through the years. In fact it only had 58,000 miles for a car 22 years-old, but it is in excellent condition internally and externally. I have since collected others cars, so when it came time for my son to go to college in southern California I thought it was time to pass this car onto him. Naturally I was quite apprehensive of turning over my vehicle to a process that I had no idea about. The monetary value of the vehicle is nominal, but the sentimental value is high. I researched automobile shipping and came upon a web site www.transportrankings.com. After looking through a vast list of auto transporting companies I came upon Amerifreight which had a large review base. This seemed to me to be a safe way to go. I went to their web site which did an excellent job about the whole process of shipping an automobile anywhere in the USA. I contacted Jorge at AmeriFreight who walked me through the entire process in a very friendly and professional manner. I decided to ship my vehicle from Minnesota to California using a covered transport. There are basically 3 choices of services you may choose depending on how quickly you need to have your vehicle shipped. I initially choose the plan that would pick up your vehicle around a 10 day period, but due to my own personal situation I had to ship the vehicle sooner so I opted for the mid level plan. I was impressed within a 4 day period Jorge was calling me about a transport company who accepted my bid that could pick up my car that day. This helped my situation out a lot. The auto shipping company showed up at my home earlier than was expected, Rick the transported was just going to wait for me. The driver took a quick survey of my vehicle and loaded my vehicle within 30 minutes. He was also friendly and professional. The other vehicles in the transport included a Ferrari, Range Rover, and Porsche. Rick picke up my vehicle on Friday at 530 pm. He delivered it to my son in southern California at 1200 noon on Monday. The communication was great. The driver spoke to both myself and my son. The transfer went seamlessly. Overall, I was very impressed with AmeriFreight. I no longer have apprehesions in shipping vehicles. I would highly recommend AmeriFreight to anyone interested in shipping their car across the USA.
