I called Amerifreight on my second attempt to get my vehicle transported while deployed to Afghanistan for the Air Force.
My first experience was frightening! It was difficult at best to get through to anyone and in the rare case that I did I was connected to someone who barely spoke english. No one could give me a straight answer as to when my vehicle would be picked up or dropped off and the whole scenario just gave me the chills. So I promptly cancelled with them and began researching for a different company.
A little about me, I am a discerning car owner who takes extremely good care of my vehicles! Only the best service will suffice, so when it came time to ship my new Audi S5 I had to make sure the experience would be top notch.
On to my second experience with Amerifreight at the helm!
I requested a quote online and received my information almost immediately. I started a chat log with Bob and began to explain my unique situation... me being across the globe serving in Afghanistan etc. I requested a number that I could reach him at and called to speak in person. Bob spoke perfect english, was extremely helpful, recognized and thanked me for my service to this great nation and even had a sense of humor! What a refreshing contrast to the previous company!
The Shipment, I paid the extra money to jump it up a notch hoping to secure a quicker pickup and delivery and WOW! Bob told me there was an 80% chance my vehicle would be picked up in 3-5 days from the date I deemed the car available... They picked it up the very next day!!!
My car was delivered from the Houston area to San Angelo the day after it was picked up!! So in all from start to finish the entire process to include initial contact, scheduling, pick up and delivery took just 3 days! Have I mentioned I was able to do this from Afghanistan?
My wife was there to receive the car and she had nothing but glowing comments about the delivery driver. He provided constant updates on the delivery time despite encountering some traffic enroute. He was courteous and professional at all times and the car was delivered without so much as a blemish! He was even nice enough to instruct my wife on the starting and backing of my new vehicle that is equipped with an advanced key system.
Being a service member can really be trying at times, being seperated from family and loved ones for extended periods of time to locations that are not very friendly. Receiving above average customer service from companies like Amerifreight make it a little easier to deal with otherwise complicated procedures given these circumstances and reminds me of why we fight so hard to support and defend our great nation. Thank you.
