I have been thinking about this review for months now.. I wasn't going to leave one because they entice you with a rebate and pretty much tell you to give them 5 stars and if you dont, you have to call them and explain why (hence all the 5 star ratings!). This system is manipulative and just a competition between companies to win your business. They may promise you a lower rate but that doesn't GUARANTEE your vehicle will be picked up. Graham was very nice and repeated the same scripted rhetoric over and over - as I'm sure he is trained to do - that they can't guarantee the price, but if i pay $150 more for an upgrade, I have a better chance.. well, that's the $150 that you promised I'd save for the super saver rate! it's a scam. We had countless back and forth conversations about this loophole. And while he was very communicative with me and entertained my frustrations, I just wish he would have been honest and say, ya know what? it sucks but that's the going rate for cars and just stop with the BS game of chicken.. we as customers are at their mercy and I just didn't trust that he was telling me the truth. I had plenty of time (2 week window) to have my car picked up so I played the game.. but, of course, there were no takers at the lower rate. The DAY I upgraded and paid $150 more, SURPRISE! my car was dispatched. THEN what they don't tell you is that most car insurance policies don't cover transport because the car is off the ground so you have spend ANOTHER 60-80$ on protection insurance. OF COURSE we're going to get it, we are talking about our CARS! I don't agree with the business practice of how they lure and trap the customer to use their company, but at the end of the day, my car made it to LA in one piece and for that, I am grateful as I read horror stories online. The truck company arrived a day late so that doesn't compensate the time off of work that I needlessly took or manage the stress of whether or not your car will make it! SO STRESSFUL! (Which, by the way, Amerifrieight will pass the onus onto the truck company and take no responsibility for the late delivery). Just ship my car.. don't play games with my money and time. Bottom Line, if you need to ship your car, you're going to pay a premium price - there's no "cheap" option - that's it.

It is regrettable to hear that our customer was disappointed with our services. We always strive to achieve a 5 star full score as we are not happy with anything less for our customers. We are proud of our overwhelmingly positive reviews. We do not make it a condition that only positive reviews get a rebate of even that a review is required to receive a rebate. Our economy saver rate is never guaranteed. But we do get many customers shipped at the lower rate. By reading some of our past reviews it is very evident that many customers get their cars shipped at a discounted rate. We have many good relationships with carriers that will assist us getting a customers vehicle shipped at the rate we quoted whenever they have availability, even if it is below the normal average going rate. The AFta plan is an optional gap cover that will ensure you are not out of pocket in case a carrier's insurance fails to pay. That does happen and is an excellent assurance for customers who want to ship their vehicles worry free. No other company offers this benefit but it is an addition service for an additional cost.
