My overall experience with shipping my car from CA to WI was good. The original estimate that David from Safe-Direct Car Shipping was on the lower end and there were issues getting carriers to accept the job. We decided to up the carrier price by $200, bringing it to the average price of transporting that distance and the problem was solved. There was an inconvenience issue with the actual carrier because neither the company nor the driver called me to tell me they were coming. They actually came to pick up my car 1 day earlier than the estimated pick up date that I was told, and the only reason I found out was because I called the company thinking they would be here the next day. The driver did not call me to tell me that he was on his way, and I called him only to find out that he was 30 minutes away. I don't think that's a big issue, but it causes some rush and inconvenience, as 30 minutes of notice is practically no notice at all. I told David from Safe-Direct Car Shipping about this and he said he would contact the carrier about that. Delivery of the car was fine, although it was more than just extremely dirty. All the items I had in my car were still there. My overall experience with Safe-Direct Car Shipping went well, communication was efficient and direct.
