On 5/26/10 I received a quote from Stateway transport of $695.00 to transport my car from Fl. to Bos. I made it clear that I was leaving FL. on June 6th and would need the car around that time.
I never received a confirmation from them and after 3 days I called and spoke to Anthony Olson.
He didn't recognize my name and had some difficulty finding the order. I asked him to e-mail me a confirmation so that I have something in writing, he said that he would. I never got it ,so continued to call and e-mail him. Anthony never answered my calls or e-mails. Time was going by so I send Anthony an e-mail letting him know that if I didn't hear from him that night that I would get someone else to do the job. I finally received an e- mail from him telling me that he wasn't able to get me on any one of the numbers which I had provided him. I e-mailed the numbers to him immediately, which he had any how.
Right about now he was trying to cover himself. Again I didn't hear from him so when I got a call from another driver, I told him he could pick the car up. Anthony called when I had gotten to Boston to tell me that he has a driver for me. I let him know that he was too late. That was early June, it's now August and I get a call from a woman from Stateway informinng me that they have a driver that is ready to pick up my car now, this was the first available day they could get. I told her that she must have the wrong info. for I've had my car since early June. She then informed me that she was going to charge me anoither $100.00 on top of the $175.00 already charged for cancelling.
I am disputing their $165.not $175.00 charge on my AMEX which I'm sure is the result of their calls. I've been transporting my cars for 10 years and have never come across such incompetance.
