| PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE SHIPPING A CAR ON A VERY STRICT TIME SCHEDULE.. |
Here’s the reasons this company is GOOD:
-my car got to the destination safely.
-the price was around the going-rate ( I priced around)
Here’s the reasons I would NOT/NEVER recommend this company to friends/family:
-The operators/ dispatch is hard to get in touch with on the phones (short staffed??).
-During normal business hours you wait about 10-20mins on hold.
-The company is NOT open Saturday & Sunday, so if you have questions no one is there to answer the phones.
-The driver did NOT pick up the car, he lied and said he called 3 times (no messages, no missed calls, no emails) and TRANSPORT SERVICES did NOT even call to reschedule a new driver for us….they waited until we call back 2 days later. That’s not good customer service if you ask me!
-The operators / dispatch never called back when they say they will. (I left messages with the operator and they kept saying “I’ll call you back when I know” and they NEVER did.
-They were QUICK to email forms and answer questions about credit card payments for the shipping but when it came to simple questions on when the driver was coming to pick up my car, they would never call back.
Heres the story:
I needed to ship my car from Houston, Texas to Honolulu, Hawaii and I was on a very strict time schedule because I was also packing up the apartment and using my car to run last minute errands. I scheduled my car to be picked up, and TRANSPORT SERVICES gave me a 3 day range when they would pick up the car which I though was reasonable, so I planned/ packed/ and ran errands accordingly.
The driver called me 1 day BEFORE the 3 day range pick up and I told him “NO” because that wasn’t the agreement and I was still using the car. The driver then told me he would call dispatch and get back to me. After waiting for 2 days for the drivers or dispatch to call me back (because it was in the original 3 day window) I finally called back and TRANSPORT SERVICES told me the driver left the city…and that the driver "called" me 3 times BEFORE he left Houston (which was sooo not true, no emails, no calls on both phone numbers, and no messages!)
As I am still packing up the apartment I am frantically trying to book another driver through TRANSPORT SERVICES because I leave on an airplane the next day. TRANSPORT SERVICES would NOT even guarantee me a drive before I left the state even thought it was not my fault the driver lied and left the city without calling, trying to pick up my car a day before scheduled.
To make a long and frustrating story short. They ended up finding me a driver and everything worked out in the end. The second driver was very nice and pleasant to work with.
However, I would NOT go through this company again or recommend any friends or family members. I give this company a 6/10, because my car got to Hawaii safely but the trouble and frustration this company put me through was NOT worth it.
OVERALL, I PERSONALLY WOULD NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO SHIP MY CAR AGAIN. I ALSO WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO FAMILY OR FRIENDS. THE SHIPPING PART OF THE TRANSACTION WAS FINE.......…IT WAS THE LACK OF STAFFING AND LACK OF COMMUNICATION ON TRANSPORT SERVICES PART THAT MADE THIS A FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE. I’D LIKE A COMPANY THAT HELPS ME BE STRESS-FREE AND THIS WAS NOT A STRESS-FREE EXPERIENCE.
