I needed to transport my car from Michigan to new jersey and i received the quote for $299 from these guys and then i gave them a call saying my car has changed its civic instead of camry, he mentioned as they are same league the price is $299. i.e $199 deposit and $100 driver. I asked him when would my car be picked up and when it would be delivered. Paul was very sweet in answering your car will be picked up within 2 days and will be delivered within 3-4 days so total 1 week maximum. I was very happy with the price and the time to deliver. Then I went on the same day and booked with him and gave him my credit card for intial deposit, and he deducted $199. He was very sweet and looked like caring towards his customer. The same Evening I get a call from Lisa saying there is a truck ready for pick up but the driver is expecting $200 more along with $100 which makes $300 to driver and $199 which was already intial deposit which makes total $499. I was like but you said total $299 that’s the reason I agreed for this transport. She was like ok I will look for another transport. Next day I give a call to check out for status and paul picks the phone and that was a good deal which we gave yesterday $599 is cheaper than any transport you would not get delivered for less than that amount and you did not agree for that, so you are done that’s it and bangs the phone. I called back 3-4 time, every time he picks the phone and he speaks rude and never allows me to speak and bangs the phone down. Then I got to know that this guy is sweet until the deposit is deducted. Then next day I call and tell him that I can go upto $200 to driver and again in few hrs lisa calls saying I got the driver and driver is asking $350 which was $50 more than previous time which would make s $549. I was like it lot I cannot pay so much I will pay max for $200 to driver which would make my total car transport for $399 and she kept the phone and and after 2 days she calls again and she says the driver is expecting $400. Everytime the price got increased, I dint agree for $400 and within few min paul calls me and he is like there is a driver for $400 which makes your shipping total cost of $599 which is cheaper than any other carrier offers. I was like but you agreed the shipping for total of $299 and you are just increasing the price, then what is the quote for and he became rude and was like this is the cheapest price you can ever get from any carrier and I said I don’t want find me cheaper and he was like because of you I lost 3 carriers so you are done no more carriers for you if you want us to find another carrier you need to $199 again if you are looking for less than $599 then your car stays in Michigan forever. He was so rude and told he would not return the deposit . Anyway I spoke to the credit card company and filed the complaint with them and got my money back. So I would say to anyone considering AAA All* Star Discount Auto Transport be careful, they will be give a very low quote and sweet until they receive deposit and then they say u need to pay driver extra and the money you pay is not equal to the quote. Anyway i got my car delivered by other shipping transport for $299 itself. It was shipped within 5 days after I signed the deal.
