I have never had occasion to use an automobile shipping company before. I purchased a car from a magazine ad. The car & seller were in Los Angeles. I live in New Jersey. 5 Star was actually my second choice to ship the car. When I told the other company my '67 Cadillac was a limosuine they jacked the price up $700.00 from their original quote. I thought I was in real trouble! Then I called 5 Star and spoke with Gilbert. He is THE BEST!!! I gave Gilbert all the information about the car, and he said no problem, we can do that for the price quoted. I was releived. He was very friendly and very easy to talk to. One other item of interest, the car was NOT in running condition. The other shipper had a problem with that too. But not Gilbert or 5 Star. Didn't even phase them! Another problem that arose, from my end, was that the seller had lost the title to the car. I had to postpone pick-up. Gilbert again said no problem and just postponed the pick-up date......three times for me. Each time Gilbert was VERY understanding about having to re-schedule. When everything was "a go" from my end I, once again, called Gilbert and he got my car picked up in a very timely fashion. He gave me Gabriel's, direct cell phone number and gave my number to Gabriel. Gabriel was my delivery driver. He called to tell me he had picked up my car. He then called the day before arrival, as promised, and again when he was about one hour away so we could meet. I chose to have the car dropped in a large parking lot to make it easier all the way around. The car carrier was very clean, modern, and well kept up. Gabriel was very professional and friendly. He told me all about the pick up in California and his trip while he prepared my car to be off loaded. He then worked with the tow truck guy to safely transfer my car from his carrier to the flatbed. This was a top notch experience that I won't forget. I will recommend Gilbert, 5 Star, and Gabriel to anyone who needs a car shipped. First class service from start to finish!!
