This is the second time I use Monstar, first time coming from Fort Lauderdale, FL to southern California, I moved two vehicles at this time, everything went without a hitch!
Almost 2 years later I had to move back to Florida and then I called Letty at Monstar, this time I would have to move a work van, their quote of $ 1,200 was an average price for the size and weight of this vehicle.
And here's where the rubber meets the road, the pick up was scheduled for a Monday around noon time (I was provided with the contact info for the carrier), by 5:30 PM the truck had not arrived yet, I called Letty and let her know what was going on, she was on the road at the moment and told me that Kathy would call me back from the office, not 15 minutes had elapsed when I receive a call from Kathy, she contacted the carrier in Florida and was told the truck had broken down in Arizona and that he was ready to call her to let her know. She told me she was going to try and secure another truck withing one or two days, I told her the importance of this happening right away as I already had my move already in progress. My blood pressure started to go up in a hurry! It would be a mess for my schedule if this move didn't happen as planned and it would cost me a great deal of money too.
At 9:30 PM I receive a call from Letty stating that she had secured another truck, based in the same town I was going to, for the following day around 4 PM.
At 4:30PM the truck arrived, loaded up and left for Florida.
I can tell that hadn't been for their prompt response to my plight, it wouldn't have happened this way. There are things that are completely out of the broker's power to control when it comes to what the driver is going to do, how late, will he call the customer to update them on pick up times, etc., the importance of a good broker is to be able to resolve these issues on a timely manner and being in touch with the customer, which Monstar does admirably!
Thanks Letty and Kathy once more, you girls deserve all the accollades and the rating of "Excellent".
