| Stressful-but glad to be with Amerifreight |
I did not realize how stressful it would be to ship my car. If I had known, I may have opted to drive across the country myself. Although stressful, I am glad that I chose Amerifreight. They were responsive to my questions. Amy was especially helpful. I chose the economy rate because I had about 3 weeks before I really needed to use my car. I figured that if it took 5 days to ship, it would still get there early enough, but I would just be without a car for a while which is really inconvenient. After 5 days, it did not ship. Rather than paying for priority, I asked Amy how much I would have to add in order to get the car shipped, as I figured she would know what the going rate was and I am a poor student. She was very honest with me, and had me add a little more to get the car picked up. Although this was no guarantee, I trusted her judgment, and she came through. A transporter was found the next day, and the car was picked up 2 days later. Marc, the driver owns the truck he drives (MKC Enterprises) and communicated with me very well throughout the whole pickup/drop-off process. I was surprised that he was able to get my car to me in a little more than 3 days! He was super friendly and made special arrangements to get me car to me at a time that was more convenient for me. All his time estimates were right on the dot. Although I never want to ship my car again, I am glad that I had great help from Amerifreight and was lucky to have a friendly and prompt driver.
