Delivered, but late pickup

This company gave me a nice low quote and did perform eventually. The only issue I have with them is that delivery was first scheduled for 1/28/09, and I stayed home from work to meet the driver, who never came.

At the last minute a lady called me and said the driver's winch had broken and he would not be coming.

A Across USA Auto Transport rescheduled the pickup for three days later, and this driver picked up the car on 1/31/09 and performed. Car was picked up and delivered two days later in good order.

I think A Across USA Auto Transport should have refunded something for the issue, but they did not and did not call me to apologize either.

What I found out is that all of these guys are BROKERS so they are at the mercy of whoever they contract with to do the actual transport. Not really sure what these reviews even mean, because if they pick a different driver every time who knows what quality of service you will get. In my case, the first driver did not even show up, and the second one did everything fine.
