Did a ton of research before going with Magic Carpet, but it didn't really help. All depends on the trucking company/driver who ends up agreeing to transport your car and you don't really have control over that.
Originally was quoted $1025, but after 4 weeks and no truck drivers willing to transport my BMW, Magic Carpet asked me to pay $1125 and explained they took a reduction in the broker fee to entice a driver. A truck agreed to do it and said they would come on Thurs. Late Thurs afternoon, they called saying they weren't coming until Mon. Magic Carpet didn't know the status until several hours after I had already spoken to the driver directly.
The truck picked up my car on Mon morning. Was told by Magic Carpet that the car would be delivered on Sat. I received a call on Thurs saying they would be delivering that afternoon! Luckily, my husband was able to accept the delivery - we were in the hospital from having a baby the day before. The inside of the car was very dirty upon delivery - there were grease stains by the door handle. The start/stop engine button was also malfunctioning, which it was working fine when the truck driver took the car. I had to take it to the dealership to get it fixed - luckily, it was covered by the warranty.
My customer service rep, Sarah Andrews, was very nice and professional. She had no control over a lot of this. However, I had to deal with Malia on 2 occasions when Sarah was out and she was extremely curt, rude and unprofessional. She left me a voicemail one day when Sarah was out of the office and asked me to pay more since they had to take a reduction on the broker fee. She started screaming at me and hung up on me when I explained I agreed to pay $1125 and that was already $100 more than my originial quoted price. If you go with Magic Carpet, ask for Sarah and avoid Malia!
