This wasa terrific move for me; i have shipped cars before [i like mercedes diesel sedans] so i am relatively familiar with shipping. i have used das before, and i asked them to quote on this move, door to door, open transporter; the quote was about $960 if i remember correctly. Moreover, although they could pick up very soon, the car would wait at their depot for about 10 days until a transporter could be filled up for CA; they quoted me a 2 week delivery time.
i called angels moving autos; i am sorry to say that i don't have written down anymore the names of the 2 ladies that helped me, but they were very efficient and prompt. the car was picked up the next day, on a closed, 6 car? transporter, brand new it looked like; actually, it looked like one those transporters that carry race cars from one event to the other. i don't remember the name of the company, but the driver's name is george hidalgo; he was super friendly, communicative and fast!! he delivered the car 2 days later, directly to my office. Total cost? $645 or $625, i forget which.
honestly, this was a terrifically easy experience, plus it was $300 cheaper and 12 days faster than if i had gone with das, and it was an enclosed carrier. if george hidalgo ever reads reviews, i hope that he see this one, because i was really happy with the service. thanks a lot!
