I was told by 5 Star they had there own trucks and drivers....not true. They took my deposit of $150.00...put it in their pocket and then searched for someone to transport my car for $450.00.
The car was picked up as promised..November 19th. They promised it would be to my house on Friday evening the 23rd...they said the driver would call me sometime in the afternoon on Friday. Around 3 P.M. I called customer service to inquire about the delivery. The lady at Ext. 207 said she would contact the driver and call me back. She did not call me back nor would she take my calls for the remainder of the day. As a matter of fact...no one did....all calls went directly to voice mail. I watched and waited for a call Friday afternoon and evening....I heard nothing. I thought maybe it would be delivered on Saturday...again nothing.....I tried to call 5 Star....I guess they do not work on the weekends...no one answered. Sunday came and passed....still no car. By the time Monday morning came I was a bit worried and very angry. They were experiencing some phone problems on Monday morning I was unable to contact them by phone. I found a number for 5 Star on the internet which was different than any number I had....so I tried it. The number was for a partner or investor in 5 Star. He listened to my complaint and concerns and told me he would check into the matter. He did call me back before noon on Monday to say he had contacted the driver and the driver told him he would be to my house on Tuesday morning. I ask him for the drivers Cell Phone Number so I could contact him directly.
I called the driver on Monday afternoon to confirm the delivery. When I was finally able to understand him.....he told me he was in St. Louis and would be to my house by mid-afternoon on Tuesday. The car finally arrived at my house at 8 :30 P.M. Tuesday night....(4) days late. So people beware...I would never again do business with a transport BROKER.
