| My experience |
It's my first time to ship a car and I got lots of help from this site. So I want to write my exprience here and hope it could help to others.
The agents I have contacted:
(1) Brian at AutoZipper. Brian is very helpful and nice. He honestly told me he doesn't have any driver he trusted to help me move my car.
(2) Angels Moving Auto. A young lady picked up my phone. After I told her my moving request, she said she need a little time to find a driver and she will call me back soon. However, she never called me back again.
(3) Hilton Auto Transport. Nichole picked up my phone. After I told her my moving request, she said "could you wait a minute, I call you back." Then I never heard from her again.
(4) Cascade Vehicle Shipping. Diane picked up my phone. She is nice and she gave me a nice quote ($970). She said she will find a driver for me soon. Then I start waiting, one day, two days,....,until eight days after I placed my order, I am still waiting! I called her a couple times and she told me the typical time to pickup a car is 1 to 10 days, but remember this is only an estimatation. finally, she wasted my eight days and I lost patience on her. I have very tight time frame. My suggestion is that if the agent can not find a driver for you in a few days, you better move on to another agent.
(5) After I lost eight days, I thought I could not get my car to the destination on time. I called Carlo. She was surprised on my experience. I called her 9/18 afternoon and she found a drive for me and scheduled a next-day pickup in one hour! When I heard the carrier is US Auto Transport, I checked their reviews and I was so uncomfortiable with them, because their reveiws are soooooooooo poor! I called Carlo and told her I worried about the carrier. She is very patient and willing to help. Finally, I decided to trust her.
The car was picked up the next day on time and poeple from US transport is friendly and cooperative. The next thing happened is beyond my expectation. My car arrived the destination much earlier than I expected. The driver had good communications with me and he delivered my car to my friend's home on 9/26 night. I saved a lot on rental car!
I would give Carlo 5 out of 5 stars. She is absolutely great to work with! I would give US auto transport 4 out 5, because I found some scratches on my car during transport. Since my car is 10 years old and I don't care much about that. Other than that, everything is fine.
