| BUYER BEWARE: Stay Away from This Broker |
Had the worst experience ever. Had car shipped from Cumming, GA to San Diego, CA. They kept changing and delaying the pickup date. The car arrived 3 weeks late. The only reason I went with this company is they sold me on their door-to-door service and they would pickup in two days after signing contract. They lied. They were also clueless about the pick-up status. They only called to reschedule only after I called back to inquire what the problem was. When I tried to cancel they wanted to keep the $300 deposit. Unfortunately I did not read the fine print and I also paid in advance. There is no penalty for them if they do not deliver on time. When I called to voice my displeasure and requested a refund the customer service agent basically told me, "tough" and hung up on me in mid-sentence. That is RUDE, CALLOUS and downright UNPROFESSIONAL. After this incident they would not answer my phone calls or my emails.
On top of this I ended driving 30 miles to meet the trucker because it would have taken him all day to get to my address. I was so desperate to get my car. Paying extra for the so called door-to-door service and in a reasonable amount of time was a bust. I have shipped containers at a time from South Africa, Argentina, Chile, Italy, etc. Brokers in Cape Town have better service than this outfit. I could have gotten similar service from another broker for half the price. I also spent $200 in advance to secure a storage space for my car but it did not arrive as initially promised. Not to mention having to reschedule my airline travel plans ($$) to be in town in order to meet the trucker. So I am basically going to spend $1000 of my time to go on every review website to relate my awful experience.
They should change their name to AAA ANYTIME (WE WANT TO DELIVER, SO SHUT UP!). No one should have to go through the experience that I went through. And by the looks of it I haven't been the only one. Look at the other reviews with similar experiences. Do you see a pattern? of course, they are very apologetic after the fact. The fact is the damage is done and they have already pocketed their commission. They don't care if your car is late. "Tough luck, Buddy!" If they would have any integrity they would have offered a total refund when I wanted to cancel or partial discount when they could not deliver as promised.
