I arranged for transport of my only car, an '84 Jeep, prior to moving from Charleston, SC to New Orleans, LA. I was told "7 business days" from June 21. It is now July 12, and I have been calling Cosmos daily. I get the same response every time "I don't have a carrier yet."
The reason they quote is because Charleston is not a popular shipping line. Charleston is the 5th largest shipping port in the US, and I have a hard time believing that there is a shortage of transporters.
I chose June 21st because I knew I would be in New Orleans within 7 business days. I have had to pay for a rental car to get by, and this is adding up. They have no suggestions about what to do. I asked them what to expect...another MONTH? David, the manager, said that he couldn't say. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?
