| Promised pickup within 3-10 days, lied several times and had not picked up on the 13th day. |
They originally quoted me 3-10 days to pickup, via email, and after 13 days had not picked the vehicle up. Beware of dealing with these liars! I have not yet received a refund, and due to the wording of the contract (pretty much "we guarantee nothing"), I expect a fight.
Michelle lied to me on several occasions, telling me that the car "would be picked up today", and "I'll call you back in 5 minutes" (she said that on 4 or 5 seperate occasions, never returning my calls). They did not inform me the reason for the delays, or try to explain why it would happen. Their initial quote was about half what other haulers were quoting me. (Ever hear, "too good to be true"?)
I also felt like they were screening calls - not answering certain people's phone calls (since they block anonymous incoming calls, and would not answer the "office" phone on several different occasions throughout the day. Leaving a message was useless, as they didn't return the call for that, either.
I spoke to Kevin on more than one occasion, and he pretty much wouldn't talk to me, since I was "dealing with Michelle".
At one point, Michelle told me what an a-hole the owner was, and that she was starting her own business, and she would take care of me. (As long as that meant - not returning my calls, lying about the status of pickup, etc, she did a good job!)
I wish I had searched the net more carefully before I booked them, as I found a negative review for them in Ebay's review pages, indicating that another customer waited 8 weeks and never had their car picked up. After a year and a half, they had not received a refund, even after being told they would get one!
I would like to add that I was given a refund promptly when I asked for it.
BEWARE OF KAT TRANSPORT!
