Horrible service

Henry was extremely rude. I wanted to ship my car from CA to IN and called months ahead to get a quote. He seemed nice in the beginning but as it got closer to the ship date, I started getting worried since I had to ship by car by a general date so that I would be able to receive it after I arrive. It was about a week before we agreed to ship the car when I called to confirm everything (since its my first time shipping my car or anything of that sort). During the call, he started getting annoyed and started to raise his voice and yell at me. He seemed extremely mad when I asked him why he was yelling and cussing at me (I mean I understand if he was having a bad day, but come on). He then responded by saying that he was not yelling (when obviously he was). I then asked to talk to his supervisor and he then retorted laughingly that he was the boss. I then asked him if this is how he treats his customers and sincerely told him that I just wanted to confirm everything. After all this, he told me to hold on tight until he gives me a call back. He called me two days before he was supposed to get my car and said that he found a driver to get my car THAT DAY. I told him I was not ready and that I thought we planned to do it two days later (and besides if I did it that day, then there would be no one to receive my car on that end since I was planning to travel later on that week). He then said he would call me back waiting on other drivers. On the day in which he said we would get my car, I did not receive any call. I called him the day after for an update and he told me that I still had to wait which it took around 7 days to ship and it was already 5 days before I was supposed to leave. I then proceeded to look at other options and found Kim through Tru Auto Transport. She quickly helped me organize a driver for my car for $900 (more expensive but I needed it), while Henry tried to low ball me at $800 (offering the driver $500 and then keeping $300, no wonder no driver wanted to take the job). Kim gave me a great driver (keeping $100 for herself and $800 for the driver). She was timely and very very accommodating and actually nice! Real talk. My car actually came early too!

I would not recommend Coastal Car Transport or Henry at all. He was very rude and does not know how to handle customers in a professional way. You should use Tru Auto Transport instead!!

We at Coastal Car Transport strive to exceed our customer's expectations in both service and pricing. We believe in trust, loyalty, and integrity. Since April 2012 we have served 4672 satisfied customers - this is our first complaint. In this case, we worked patiently with Ron by responding to his repeated inquiries, and exerted to put his mind at ease. As an experienced person that ships vehicles would know, the transport business is not an exact science. Pick up and delivery times are based on availability, road conditions, weather, etc., etc. As an example, if furniture delivery from a local store to a home has a 4 hour delivery window, common sense would dictate that car transport across multiple states must have a larger delivery window. Additionally, transport service seekers are at the mercy of drivers availability. While we as service providers do contact drivers that we know and routinely work with to get your vehicle scheduled for pickup and delivery, at the end, the drivers decide when they want to get on the road. Therefore, since Ron had a travel schedule that was set in stone, we provided various options and drop off terminal facilities for the driver to accommodate his set travel schedule. Coastal Car Transport was willing to go above and beyond to satisfy Ron’s needs. Unfortunately, Ron was not aligned with this concept and contacted another transport service provider. However, this back-fired on him, because he created competition for himself. The same driver that transported his car to the same destination, at the same time, booked his order with another service provider at a higher price. Needless to say, this can be frustrating, but Coastal Car Transport is not the party at fault here. We appreciate that Ron had considered us and will continue to strive to meet his customer service needs if he decides to try us again. Best of luck.
