I had a very good experience with AmeriFreight representative Ali. The only hitch was with the carrier. I certainly feel that AmeriFreight could use better carriers although I understand it's tough business. The pick up was scheduled in the morning and the carrier truck showed up about 4 hours late in the afternoon. I called the carrier contact person about 3 times however it was of no help. Finally when I called Ali, she made sure that driver called me. Once I met the driver, he was a very nice man and he apologized for the delay. I was a little surprised when he marked many dents on his paper work although there are no dents on the car. He explained that people at the receiving side sometimes ask them to pay for the existing car marks; hence he was being extra cautious. I was promised car delivery on Tuesday or Wednesday and the car was delivered on Wednesday afternoon. So the delivery went pretty smooth.

I was a little confused about various options being offered during bidding process. I still am not clear about the insurances offered etc. So I had to call back Ali for clarifications and she explained me the options via e-mail and on phone; good enough for me to move forward.the initial quote was $850, however I ultimately paid $950.I recommend a simpler explanation for customers like me who don't have a prior experience shipping cars.

Finally, I strongly feel that the "carrier experience" should be a big part of the overall experience. Which means it is OK for the rating to fall down if the carrier experience is not good. What is the point of rating when the customers have to rate the overall experience as excellent as otherwise it will impact the primary contact person.

Overall the experience was very good with Ali who was who was available on the phone when I needed clarifications.
