Pioneer Dropped the Ball

I signed a contract on September 2, 2009 with an auto broker who assigned Pioneer Auto Express to be my carrier. First available pick up date was October 5th and was stated on the contract.
I called Pioneer approximately ten days in advance to clarify the pick up date and time, but I think I called too early.

I called Pioneer the week of October 5th to get specific information since I had not heard from them. Pioneer told me that they would pick up my vehicle Thursday, October 8th, or Friday October 9th (no specific time or details were given) and that they could easily accomodate my delivery in Arizona the second week of October.

They said they could get to Arizona very quickly; I was to be 'last on and first off.'
Thursday, October 8th came and went with no call from Pioneer. Friday, October 9th and still no call from Pioneer to tell me where and when they were coming.

In desperation, I called my broker who jumped through many hoops to get me a new carrier at the last minute. There was much confusion and it appeared that the whole thing was going to fall apart.

I was saved at the last minute by a carrier called CAA transport. Two drivers tag-teamed my car and drove like bandits to get my car to Arizona in three days. I can't thank them enough and tipped both their drivers who were excellent.

I am shocked that Pioneer failed so miserably; they had plenty of time to assign a driver and arrange this pick up. They caused me a ton of anxiety; their communication regarding my shipment was non-existent. I can't imagine what happened.

We apologize for the delay. Our company made efforts to contact the customer to set up pick up. However, when we contacted her, someone else made arrangements to pick up her vehicle.
