I used Pioneer twice this summer. Once fine, the second horrible. I shipped my car to the west coast from New Jersey with them and had no problems. The driver gave me the company's direct number so that I could call them directly to save money for my trip back. On the trip back the truck that my car was on broke down in New Mexico. Nobody called to tell me this, I only found out when my car was late getting to North Carolina and I called to find out what was going on. They told me it was stuck in New Mexico sitting in the heat. It finally came after about 2 or 3 weeks only to have the truck driver tell me my battery was dead and the car wouldn't run. The battery was barely 2 years old. They will not admit any fault or compensate me at all for the cost I paid for the new battery or the car being late. My last words to the customer service rep where, so this just sucks for me then huh? he agreed.

Unfortunately, electrical components and battery related issues are not covered during transport because there is really no reasonable way to evaluate where the liability falls in cases like these.
