I received quotes ranging from $700 to $1300 for the same move. Although I always get concerned about using the lowest Viking had good reviews on this site. What I did not understnd and I learned from Viking was how the business operates. Viking and others that you contract with are only Brokers they post your move on a board and then get a commitment from truckers who use the Broker Service. Viking and others have little to do with transport other than findind someone to take your vehicle. It is up to you to do your homework on the company that will ship your vehicle. The Broker will notify you of who and when they will pick up your car. That is the time to ask your Broker for the Central Dispatch report on the company they are connecting you with. In my case it was LT Trucking in IL. I searched Transport Reveiws and there were 4 ratings and 3 of them bad. I contacted Viking and was ready to cancelthe whole thing when i was informed about the internal ratings they use. LT had a 99. something positive from the Brokers according to the copy of the report Viking faxed to me. LT picked up the night before they were expected which was easier than taking time off work and delivered in 7 days in the evening as well which made it easier on the receiver as well.
The only negatives were the car was filthy and could not tell what color it was and there were come language difficulties withthe driver on the receiving end. I would use Viking again especially since they helped me be an educted consumer.
