I had booked with Tropical Auto at the last minute. I had moved from FL to CA in Jan 2013 and had been forced to put my car in storage for a few months. I had booked with another broker Richard of CT Transporters LLC as they had given a completitve rate ($850). I had asked they work closely with me as I was traveling to FL on Apr 3 for just one and needed to ensure that pick up occurred on that date. Richard did not return calls, did not follow up and I ended up making all the contact after he had booked me and I paid a deposit. Everytime I called him he ensured me that he and his team were working dilligently to find a driver for my car. I raised cost to $1000 as it got closer to travel. Richard never once called me back after booking and in the days leading to my trip to FL, I called him numerous times regarding driver information and he kept promising he was "going to take care of me", that "he was a honest person" and "would make sure that he helped me". He repeated through several calls I made to him that he was working on a "10 car deal" which would enable him to add my car at a lower rate. This did not happen. It wasn't until when I arrived in Miami that he stated he wasn't able to find a driver at the price of $1000. When I asked him why he couldn't just call me to tell me he couldn't do it, he stated that "if I don't call you that means I cannot find a driver". I told him that was extremely bad customer service and he disagreed, repeating that he hadn't called as he didn't have a driver. He stated he cWhen I asked that my deposit (though small- -only $50) be refunded, Richard stated "how am I supposed to pay for my family" and said he would have to get with his accounting department. It is now two weeks later and still no refund. DO NOT BOOK WITH CT TRANSPORTERS, LLC. Th

So I was in Miami with my car and no way to get it to CA with exception of driving it myself. I had received a call from Tropical Auto and though the rate was steep, the broker promised they could have car picked up in next few days and that they could book it. I took the risk and booked with them and had a friend hold my car as I left for CA the next day.

Within an hour of booking with Tropical (they did NOT charge me a deposit at booking stating that I should NOT be paying one unless they had a driver....again a bad sign from CT Transporters, LLC), I received a call from Nikole stating she had a driver and wanted to set it up. I agreed and she charged the $100 deposit, stating I would give $1100 to driver at delivery.

Throughout the time that my car was being transported I contacted Nikole several times regarding where my car was, an issue with Sun Pass (I had mistakely left it on my car and was getting alerts which conflicting to where I was told my car was traveling through...). Every time I called Nikole, she always answered, did not leave me on an extended hold and when she said she had to research and call me back or email me the response, she ALWAYS did.

The driver they booked my car with was very professional, also answered his phone and returned any calls I made to him. He was very thorough and careful at delivery as he had to offload several cars to get to mine. I was very pleased with his care of my car.

So I highly recommend Tropical Auto. They came through for me in a HUGE way! This was a first time for me in transporting my car and I had a LOT of concerns about this process. I am pleased to say that my concerns were completely unfounded.
