My experience with Town and Country Auto Transport was unacceptable. At first they sounded professional and eager to help but that wasn't the case. I ended up talking to about 5 different people who had different positions in the company in order to get a start with moving my car. 3 of the 5 people i spoke to were very incompetent and didn't have a clue what they were talking about. For almost 2 months they would "beat around the bush" with me and tell me that they would have a carrier for my car by the end of the week or early next week. This never happened. The only reason why i talked to so many people was because everyone was difficult to get a hold of and everytime i called, which was pretty much everyday, they would never return my phone calls. They never actively called me I always had to get in touch with them to find out what was going on. This went on for about a month and a half.

Finally i was fed up with their lack of service, luckily they refunded me my $200, and i took my business to another company, Speciality Mobile. Within one week of contacting them i signed a contract and my car was picked up. It took them about 10 days to bring it from NY to CA and i paid $1095.

On another note, Town and Country was also very unorganized. Since many people were working on my case, I found that they didn't log everything appropriately. I would call and it would take them a while to figure out what was going on. After i had recieved my refund, i got a call about a week later from one of their representatives saying that they had found me a carrier. Obviously they never closed my account and people were still working on it.

Try and not go with a broker, but if you do make sure they only take your deposit after they find you a carrier and you are probably better off not going with the lowest quote you get. Family owned businesses seem to work better!
