Could Have Been Worse

We had an OK experience with Specialty Mobile. Our first contact at the company was with a new staff member who failed to enter our information into the system correctly. As a result, our order did not get placed until I called back to follow up. Also, the company is split between two physical locations which do not appear to communicate well with each other. At one point, nobody knew what was going on with our order, and it required some calling back and forth to figure it out. That said, the staff members are friendly, professional, and courteous.

The carrier they found was very fast, but he only gave us 3 hours notice that he was ready to drop the car off. In the middle of a work day, it would have been extremely inconvenient - if not impossible - for us to meet the driver. Coincidentally, my wife stayed home sick that day so we averted a crisis. The driver told us to be ready in 3 hours but it ultimately took him 6. If I had left work early to meet him, I would have wasted the entire work day for nothing.

The lack of notice and last-minute scurrying to meet drivers appears to be an industry-wide problem that I do not associate specifically with Specialty Mobile. Overall, our shipping experience with Specialty Mobile surpassed our other auto transport experiences, which have been unbelievably bad. So, we were satisfied with Specialty Mobile because nothing catastrophic happened to our car, and it got delivered within a reasonable period of time.
