My First Experience -- SMS Calmed My Nerves!

This was the first time I ever shipped a car and I was extremely nervous. I chose SMS based upon the reviews of this website and the hospitability of the agency (I called 6-10 agencies, and liked SMS the most). I knew I would be leaving my origin area on 9/4 and preferred to have my car as late as I could, knowing full well Labor Day was coming up and people might not be working -- without even putting down my downpayment, Natasha found me a driver who would take my car within a 4 day time period! Normally the time period to pick up a car is 10 days, so I considered myself quite lucky and decided to put down my deposit.

Within an hour or two of submitting my deposit, I received a call from Dee confirming my order and to review the procedure of shipping a car. And later that night, Natasha called to confirm that I did have a driver who'd pick up my car in a 4 day timeframe!

Another concern of mine was I would not be in my new area before 9/7 and did not know what would happen if the car arrived before I did -- but SMS assured me that if that were to happen, my car would be delivered as close to my door as possible after I arrived at my destination.

I did not call the company at all while my car was being shipped, but I feel that if I did, they would have helped answer whatever questions I have. Natasha and Dee were so helpful and so prompt that I could not help but give SMS the highest rating possible.

I did have some reservations about my carrier, Pioner Auto Express. The bottom line, however, is that my car was picked up on time at my apartment complex, dropped off on time at my new apartment complex, and was received without any damage. That is most important. I also know that the issues with my carrier had nothing to do with SMS -- this is merely information should one use this carrier in the future.

A few things to watch out for if you use Pioneer Auto Express:
1. The operators and drivers that I spoke with spoke poor English. This made communication difficult.
2. I thought I would receive a call 12-24 hours in advance to have my car picked up, but instead I was only given a 3 hour timeframe. Things got frantic quickly!
3. There was no website or online tracking to track my car -- if I wanted to know where my car was I had to call the company.
4. I could not leave a message with the company after hours, as their message box was full.
