When then engine blew in our BMW we had to scramble to find a car. After finding what I was looking for, I decided to get a quote to see how much it would potentially cost. I then mistakenly logged on to a website where it brought all kinds of people out of the woodwork calling me. I must have gotten 60+ calls, emails, texts and voice mails from various brokers all over the country. Many of them saying they were drivers, or they had a truck in the area, or they "run that route weekly"...All lies to get your business.I had initially decided I was going to go with this one particular broker who didn't lie to me and educated me on how the process truly works and I was pretty much set on going to go with them. The only problem with that broker was that they don't work weekends. Well a lot of good that does me when I got a commitment from a dealer on a Saturday as to a release date. So in a pickle and not really trusting the 60 people calling me I decided to Google the top rated transport service and "Ship a Car Direct" came up. I called and David picked up and right away I could tell I was dealing with someone trustworthy. How did I know that ? Well for starters the first question he asked was "Wouldn't it be cheaper to just try to drive it yourself ?" Here's a guy who makes a living by brokering auto transport deals and he's almost trying to talk me out of it. Then,unlike the rest, he said, "Well I can tell you that there's not a lot of activity that goes on from Minnesota to upstate New York." (Whereas the "other guys" were saying the exact opposite). With this kind of honesty I knew David was my guy. And then I asked if they worked weekends and the upcoming Holiday (MLK day). He reassured that he is always on every day checking his emails. Within a couple days he had a transporter all lined up and they picked the car up on the estimated pickup date and it arrived safe and sound. For anyone who finds him or herself in the situation I was in, do yourself a favor and save yourself the aggravation and just call this company. They are rated #1 for a reason !
