So glad I thought about a car transport as an option!

Our original plan to get our son's car to FL from TX for college was to rent a full size truck or SUV and rent a trailer and drive it. We weren't taking furniture and household goods, just his car and a few personal items. Well it was going to cost $1350 to rent a full size pick up truck and $550 for a tow behind trailer, plus 2 days of driving and a night in a hotel. That was way more than I'd planned! When I considered a transport I went with Ship A Car Direct due to the customer reviews as well as the #1 of 10 rating with consumer digest. Spending $625 to move the car allowed myself, my husband and our son to fly to FL which allowed an extra day at home before leaving everyone he knows! We used the rest of the money saved by going this route to spend on setting up a household for him. I would certainly do this again although we plan to sell everything and not bring anything back to TX except our son and his personal items!
