Safe-Direct and JS Transport are Terrific!

I was a bit apprehensive after reading several horror stories about brokered transport. Brokers taking most of the money, carriers not showing up, or being rude when they did. Damage to cars, etc. I even stumbled across a trucker's site, discussing why Uship.com (apparently the "eBay" of trucking and the least expensive way to go, where you act as your own broker) is such a bad deal for them. Nothing like that at all here.

David at Safe-Direct is a communications master. CONSTANTLY in touch, making sure I was comfortable with the process - before and after. His choice of a carrier, JS Transports, was also great. Billy Allford, the driver, was extremely careful and courteous. He even arrived a day early. I felt bad that I couldn't take delivery on that day, but Billy was nothing less than polite. He stayed overnight, and came out to deliver the car to my house (in a cul-de-sac, no less) the next day at 6:30 am, as we agreed. He did not rush me, and encouraged me to look everything over.

The loading and unloading were difficult, because the car is very low to the ground, but we got through it, and I have nothing but praise for the whole crew. If I ever transport a car again, I hope I get the EXACT SAME SETUP! Billy - you rock!

P.S. I hope your experience is just as great as mine. Truckers work hard to make a living, and I for one, have a much greater understanding now about what it takes for them to do that.
