Let me just say at the outset that i would not use again or recommend this company to anyone not even to transport a tricycle. They are unprofessional and at no time during the delivery was information disseminated in a timely or accurate manner.
The day (Thursday ,8th) the vehicle was to be picked up at at 12:00N I received a call that i had to deliver the vehicle to their yard, after doing so i was driven back to my residence by an employee in my vehicle. I was told that the vehicle would be leaving later that afternoon or early Friday morning and would arrive on Tuesday, 13th. After checking with the delivery point on Tuesday I was told that the vehicle had not arrived, a call was placed to S & B Auto Transport. I was told by an S & B represented that the truck had a hydraulic problem and was stuck in Georgia and was awaiting a part to repair the vehicles lift. I questioned the representative why i was not notified he indicated that he had contacted the other shippers but i fell through the "crack". Several calls were made to obtain a status report between Tuesday and Friday with the same response and no updated information. On Saturday 17 th, the recipient received a call saying that the vehicle would be delivered on Sunday 18th. At delivery the recipient asked why the vehicle was late as instructed, the driver said that he had only picked up the vehicle on Friday,16th in Florida and knew nothing of needed repairs and reiterated the same to me by phone as he was making the delivery reaffirming that he had picked up the car/truck on Friday. Subsequently, iwent to S & B and spoke with the dispatcher in an attempt to get answers for the late delivery and conflicting stories. While speaking to the dispatcher the owner overheard the conversation and joined in, in a very belligerent manner. I explained to him that i just needed answers as to why there were conflicting stories from his offfice and the driver. In a very authorative voice, he opined that you got your car delivered what else do you want; i responded that all i wanted was common courtesy and an explanation for the late delivery. He stated that the problem is that all you "shippers" have too great expectations " we are not the U S Mail or FedEx". I indicated to him that as a customers all we require is truth, courtesy and delivery of our vehicles on time at which time he walked away mumbling something under his breath.
As i said in the beginning i wolud not use S & B or recommend their services to anyone.
