My experience with river bluff

I transported a car from NC to CA with them last year in an open carrier.
Pickup and delivery were on time. I had two problems though which compel me to write this review to warn other people:

1) the car was extremely filthy when it was delivered. It was littered with bird dropping from top to bottom, I could hardly recognize it. I know it was an open carrier, but am not sure as to why it was littered with bird droppings, which by the way are very bad for the paint.

2) There was a crack in the left side view mirror. I didn't notice it immediately, but 10 seconds after driving off after delivery I noticed it, so turned around and talked to the delivery driver. He noted it and gave me the name of person to contact for claim, as the car was 100% insured with river bluff. So I contacted the river bluff claims person, he asked me to mail pictures of damage, the paperwork and an official estimate of repair from a dealership in. I mailed all this and waited. Weeks went by, no reply. I called him again and always got his answering machine. I called 5+ times and left messages, no reply. So I ended up calling their main number and they said that he guy I originally talked to was not the right person and I need to send all information all over again. All for what, a $250 claim.

The fact that river bluff did not return my calls over months and the fact that they are making me send all info (pictures, dealer estimates) all over again for a $250 claim, signals to me that they are hoping I will go away or that they don't understand the meaning of customer service.

I would not recommend river bluff.
