For starters my pickup date was pushed back 2 weeks. No big deal. I had to arrange for someone to be there for the pickup and pay an additional 2 weeks for a rental car. When I went to pickup my truck on March 10th I was there at opening. I spent hours looking for my truck. Finally got some assistance and was told my truck wasn’t running and that they had to tow it off the boat. When I went to start it I noticed that there was no diesel in it. Checked the filter and it was dry. There was mud in the wheel wells the truck had been washed immediately before pickup. There was diesel all over the side of the truck. Poor siphon job. There were 200 extra miles on it. Got 5 gallons of fuel. Primed and bled the fuel system. With a refereed mechanic’s assistance. Would not start. Returned the rental car at lunch because they are not open at lunch. Had to call a tow truck to get it to my house. Had several mechanics and the dealership look at it and non of them knew what to do. Long story short I bit the bullet and ordered an ECM and TIPM and the truck is running on the 19th of August 2022. No big deal. Sent the invoices to their insurance that I paid for to be reimbursed. They said it only covers physical damage. They shorted out the computer trying to jump it with no fuel in it. Problem. Didn’t ask for the price of new parts the cost of my labor to do the work and research. The 6 months and 9 days of time I have lost not having transportation and unable to work.
