I contacted them a few weeks ago to see how much it would be to transport my truck from Texas to South Carolina. I spoke with Brandon Quinones who told me that it would be $550 total. Basically there would be a $250 deposit which I would pay today and I would then be responsible for paying the remaining $300 to the carrier when the truck arrived in South Carolina. I agreed to this and paid the $250. I decided to follow up a short time later to make sure that everything was in place for the pickup on the 29th. I sent an email to Brandon and received no response. I called multiple times and my call went to the company’s voicemail. I finally got a hold of Brandon and he told me that he would call me back in about an hour or so. I never received a phone call. My husband got a hold of Brandon and was assured that everything was in place for the truck to get picked up. I felt confident about this. As promised the carrier came to pick up the truck on the 29th.

The carrier informed my husband during the truck pickup that he would need to pay $600 when the truck got to South Carolina. WHAT??! My husband asked the carrier about this and he said something along the lines of not knowing what the broker had told us but that his fee was $600. Are you serious???! I was told several times by Brandon that we would be responsible for paying the remaining $300. I called Pristine Auto Transport to ask them about this difference in price. I got through to a customer service representative who put me on hold several times while they said they were going to get a supervisor. I stressed that I would just wait on the line for one instead of having one call me back (I knew that would never happen). I waited on the line for a while and was lucky enough to speak with someone named Renee. Renee claimed that someone named Monique should have called and informed me about the increase in price. Nobody by the name of Monique had ever contacted me and the change in price was never mentioned when I had called previously to check the status of the transport. Coincidently this Monique person was no longer with the company. Renee basically told me sorry but that is how it is and in the future maybe I could use Pristine again and he would waive the deposit fee! WOW! Thanks for that!

We also informed the carrier (OK Express) at the beginning that we would be changing the delivery address to an address that was actually closer for him. The carrier agreed to this but failed to mention until he delivered the truck that we would be paying $650 instead of $600 because of the change of address. So the price magically increased by $350 extra! Instead of an increase, we should have gotten a discount since he had to help the carrier move a non-operable vehicle on his trailer to fit my husband’s truck, as well as another car he’d be getting afterwards. My husband strained his lower back during this process and the carrier is lucky he didn’t receive a bill from my husband’s healthcare provider. A hilarious side note: the carrier called my husband about 30 minutes after my husband helped him do his own job, asking my husband if he had seen the keys of the non-operable car he helped move on the trailer. Apparently the carrier misplaced the key??! This company needs to be shut down ASAP. Please do not use this company unless you want to be CHEATED. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

Pristine Auto Transport basically washes their hands of the issue and claims that the price increase is a problem between you and the carrier. They obviously lie to people and fail to set any expectations or take any responsibility for their fraudulent behavior.
