I checked with a number of agents/companies in planning the shipment of our Porsche from Connecticut to the California Sierra. While Numis was not the least expensive, my interaction with Vivian at the company gave me confidence that the process would be handled professionally. It turns out that it would be tested very quickly.

The transport company that was booked was supposed to arrive for pick-up on the 23rd or 24th of January, and we were leaving our apartment on the 24th. At 3:00 PM on the 24th, the driver called to say that his truck has broken down, and the earliest he could pick it up was Monday. I called Vivian to explain what had happened, and she got on the issue immediately. Within 15 minutes, the President of the transport company (USA Global, LLC) called me and said he would take one of their trucks and personally pick up the car, which he did, arriving at approximately 8:00 PM. It turns out that the driver was not where he said he was, and is no longer employed by the Company. Kudos to the President for standing behind what his company promised to do. Without Vivian becoming involved, I think we would have had a major logistical problem on our hands.

We made it to California a few days early, and I contacted the driver to let him know that we could accept early delivery if he wished. He chose to do so, and the car was delivered in very good shape. Despite the messy start, an overall good experience.
