I had contacted Motion Transport to transport a vehicle from Washington to Michigan.
This was a car that was left from a recent death in the family and we had no way to transport it back home. This was supposed to be door to door service and the night before I was told I would need to take the car to Tacoma (the closest major city) rather than it being picked up at the destination that was agreed upon. The company had a signed contract that included additional fees of $200.00 because the vehicle contained personal property in excess of the alotted 100lbs. They knew up front the vehicle was being used to transport belongs of the deceased relative and we were charged accordingly. Upon the delivery of the vehicle the driver demanded and additional $200 over the agreed upon contract which already included the $200 fee. The driver was not compensated by the company for the additional charges and the company denied charging the additional fee even though I had a signed contract that showed otherwise.

After refusing to pay the additional fee the second time the drive began removing belongings from the car and throwing them into the parking lot. He then sat in the car and refused to leave the vehicle until he was paid. The boker company then paid the transport company the additional $200 and the driver still refused to leave the vehicle and demanded cash from us.

After paying additional money to the driver he then left so, not only did they get paid $200.00 upfront for the additional items to be shipped, they were then paid another $200.00 by the broker company and still demanded cash from us, we were told that the transport was illegal and they took a risk for moving the vehicle and the belongings together and they felt they needed paid for that.

This was the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with!
