Very nice experience

I made a last minute decision to move my very old car from California to Minnesota after learning that the transport cost is around $900-1100 (internet quotes). My car is really old (97 Camry) and I figured that if I sold it in CA, I would have to add more than $1000 to get a decent used car in MN. A friend of mine has used Mercury Auto Transport long time ago and was happy with the experience, so he recommended this company to me. My flight from CA to MN was on a Monday and I made this decision the Saturday before. I had only two days. I contacted Mercury late on Saturday. I was worried that no one would answer on Sunday, so I contacted some more companies. And early Sunday morning, JC from Mercury contacted me. Actually, it turned out that he would be the only one who contacted me on Sunday. All the others companies started calling me frantically on Monday (and harassing me the whole week); but guess what? JC already had a driver lined up for me. It was very transparent and upfront. JC told me he was just the broker and he would take $150, and I would pay the driver $800 COD.

JC gave me the contact information of the truck company Pro Express, and I called them to confirm the pick up and drop off addresses. I was told before the pick up date that my car would arrive next Monday. The driver Jason called me three days before the arrival date and confirmed that the car would arrive on time. Sunday evening, he called me again and gave me a 2 hour window of delivery. The next day, my car arrived intact and on time. He asked for $800 as agreed, no unexpected fees or anything. I did tip a little ($40) so that he could get some cool drinks on this hot Minneapolis day.

The overall experience is very good. The most impressive part was how fast JC responded to business inquiries and had everything ready so soon. I also feel lucky that my car arrived on time and I was not asked for any more payment than initially agreed upon. I highly recommended Mercury and Pro Express .
