Since this website does not allow you to update a review once the company has commented I am writing a new review. Magic Carpet has once again been deceitful. Not only do they lie about price matching as stated in my previous review (below) but they also failed to send the rebate I was supposed to receive from them. Firstly they hold the rebate as collateral to force one to write a review and secondly they don't deliver. I think 9 months is a long enough wait, don't you? I paid vastly more than necessary to a company that turned out just to be a broker, and the company they brokered my car out to was less than satisfactory to say the least. They don't want you to talk about that in your reviews though because they don't want to be rated based on the people they broker your vehicle out to; though they should be as they are entrusting my vehicle to them. I didn't say anything last time as I like everyone else commenting here I am sure, was trying to get the rebate I was promised. I just want an honest company in the world, but am clearly asking too much. ****** My Original review: CW Date: 1/26/2012 10:08:00 PM Reviewed: Magic Carpet Auto Transport Subject: Magic Carpet Ride Review: As far as my contact person, Michelle goes she was excellent. But like all the other companies here they are a broker so they don't actually move the cars themselves. The only problem I really have is that the web site says they will match any 4 or 5 star rated company from this site. They do not. They will lower their price but did not match even my third to lowest quote which was from a 5 star company from this site. Oh well. Thank you Michelle, you were great! *********

WE DO MATCH 5 STAR COMPANY QUOTES..THATS WHAT THEY ARE QUOTES.. IN THE END THE CARRIERS ,(REGARDLESS WHO GIVES THE QUOTE) HAS THE LAST SAY ON WHAT THEY ARE WILLING TO TAKE TO MOVE THE CAR. WE ARE BROKERS AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN BROKERS AND DO NOT PRETEND TO BE ANYTHING ELSE BUT BROKES.. MICHELLE YOU SAY WAS GREAT TO WORK WITH BUT THE CARRIER WAS A DISAPPOINTMENT TO YOU..WE DO TRY OUR BEST TO ALWAYS PROVIDE THE BEST CARRIERS POSSIBLE. BROKERS HANDLE CUSTOMERS AND CARRIERS HAUL CARS.SO NO MATTER HOW GOOD WE ARE SOMETIMES IN THE END IF THE CARRIER HAS A PROBLEM THEN THE CUSTOMER WILL BLAME US..WE DO NOT BELIEVE AT ANYTIME WE ARE DECEITFUL.
