Don't tell me "guaranteed" and tell me two weeks later "we never guarantee"

Go with this company if you want to get robbed and have your phone calls ignored.

-Severe lack of communication (have to call-bomb them for hours before someone picks up) I think in total I've given this place about 100 phone calls, they only picked up about 5 times.
-They lie about their quotes, they lie about their work ethics
-They get upset if you ask questions
-I've sent many many e-mails and voice mails begging for them to call me back. The ONLY phone call I've ever gotten back was the first one when he robbed me..I mean took my $140 "deposit"

I requested a quote from Magic Car Transport two weeks ago to transport my RAV4 and they gave me a quote of "$540"... I was excited to see such a low quote because I remember my sister spending about $800 on transporting her Honda CRV. So I called Magic Car Transport and got their machine so I left a message about how I was interested in hiring them; about 10 minutes later they called back. We I told them that I had to get the car out of Los Angeles by the 27th and Anthony said it was doable, he asked me to make a $140 deposit, which I thought was kinda weird but didn't think too much of it at the time.
After thinking about that deposit a little bit I became a little weary and decided to call them back...they didn't pick up. I tried calling about an hour later...no one picked up and so I left a message...no one called back. I called again multiple times and no one picked up. (Now I do understand that I am on PST and they are on EST). The next day I called them first thing in the morning, no one picked up...few hours later...nope....and an hour after that...no one.
I became annoyed and had to "call-bomb" them calling about once every 10 minutes on the third day and finally someone picked up after the third hour of call-bombing. It was the same guy that took my money so I asked him when the care WOULD be picked up and he just told me "25-27" and he went on to say "I am not sure what your concern is." I told him "My concern is not getting the car out of there on time.

He told me "I guarantee that your car will be picked up on time."

I felt "assured" for another week or so until it became the 25th.

On the 25th I called, of course after about 15 - 20 tries he finally picked up, I asked him when will I get a contact from the driver and he told me something on the lines of "Well you still have two days left."...I carried on with that day.

On the 26th I called again, another 15 - 20 tries, he told me "You're scheduled for the 27th or 28th"....what...? 28th? told him "You said you guaranteed that it was going to be picked up on/by the 27th. he told me "No, we never guarantee anything." I went on to ask "So are the drivers working on Monday?" He went on to say that everyone will be working...I was worried because it was Memorial Day on Monday.

On the 27th I called about 10 times and he told me something like "Oh no you won't get any contact today, the dispatchers are closed.". I pretty much had it with this company but I was still waiting to see if there was any hope of a driver contacting me the following day.

28th...I called about 30 times before he decided to pick up, I told him that I was going to go with someone else and he said "Well that would not make sense since we all work in the same network." and insisted that it's not his company but the drivers that are to blame. I told him "this is passing my deadline!" he said "No, we do not have deadlines.", I replied with "No, I have deadlines." (which I made very clear to him since the very first day I talked to him.)

Later in the day I got a "Congratulations!" e-mail from one of the dispatchers (under Magic Car Transport as being the broker.) insisting that I will have to pay $100 more than what I was quoted. So of course I tried calling back and canceling but guess what.. no one picked up. After the 10th try or so I decided to work this scam out with the help of my credit card company.

I honestly think this "company" is one guy trying to make a quick buck without thinking about how it effects other people with how he treats them, making false claims, not thinking about the inconvenience he brings them.

I've gotten panic attacks for days thinking about the worse-case-scenarios with them...and they all came true.

This customer, placed an order and stated the 1st available date the car could be picked up was 05/27-05/28. As stated in Our Terms and Conditions signed by this customer, we are unable to guarantee pick up or delivery on specific dates and or times. We also state we are brokers not carriers. Although he claims he was unable to speak with anyone, we did speak with him numerous times, since he would call the office up to 20 times a day and told him we would attempt to meet his urgency. We were able to dispatch this to a carrier on 05/29/ which this customer indicated would still meet his needs. He cancelled after the dispatch. To any potential customer reading this review, do not make the same mistake of trying to box a pick-up into a day or two. Even in the best case scenario, a driver could face a mechanical breakdown that could alter a pick-up or drop off. 99 percent of our reviews are all positive. It is very difficult to please the other 1 percent that are unreasonable.
