Grandpa Old Pickup Truck

My son was given his grandpa's truck. The cost to pick it up and tow it back from Arizona to Alabama just did not make sense. So I went to the internet and asked for quotes from transport companies. I received 5-6 quotes from $650 to $1500. The lowball quote did not give me confidence so I called the company and asked questions about the person before I made any commitments. It turned out the salesman that gave me the quote only worked for the company for a few days. When I talked to Tobia at Lepke, he gave me confidence that he understood the business. He told me that a low quote may never get picked up. He said he would see if he could get my vehicle transported for $800 from Phoenix to Birmingham. I basically ran a competition between the low ball quote and the Lepke quote. A week went by and I got a call from Tobia asking if the truck could be ready to ship in 2 hours for a total cost of $900. I said that it could. We exchanged emails with the contract and a credit card charge of $100 at the time of pickup which I approved. The transporter arrived at my father-in-law's house and the father/son drivers were very nice, real people from North Carolina. I received a call 2 days later from the driver letting me know that they would arrive just after noon the next day. The pickup arrived in perfect condition, I gave them $800 in cash for the balance due.

It could not have been simpler or quicker. Fantastic service from Lepke.

ps: I still have not heard from the low ball quoter.
