I called four companies for proposals for enclosed transport and selected InterCity based on their location in my state, their reputation, and the pricing offered was in line with other offers from other carriers.

The originating location of the vehicle was well off the beaten path and InterCity advised that it may take some time to have a truck going reasonably close enough to that region to snag my truck. It was about a month before they picked up which was fine and acceptable to me. Once Randy and his wife (driver team) picked up the truck, it was in my driveway in less than 5 days.

Initially, I had to ping Roy Sewell who was the sales person about the status of my move, but once he turned my deal over to Nicki she was great and provided frequent and regular updates on the status.

If I have any words of advice for inexperienced vehicle transportation services buyers, it's "be patient". Rome wasn't burned in a day and the world does not evolve around your move. You part of a large moving parts puzzle that constantly changes and understanding that when something is planned and then there is a wrinkle at any point either in front of or after your vehicle is picked up, it creates a ripple effect that now impacts the entire load and schedule. If you need your vehicle there quickly, then hire a hot-shot service that will carry only your vehicle.

When Randy and his wife arrived with my vehicle, their truck was spotless; I mean they had been through snowstorms and horrible conditions in Montana and that truck looked like it had just rolled off the assembly line. When they treat their own equipment like that, rest assured they are treating your vehicle even better and they did. It's not an easy job; they had to move two other vehicles off that were behind mine and both were fickle to get started and keep running. Patience is a virtue and customers need it in abundance and if you are reasonable and patient, you will have a great experience with ANY carrier that has the same qualities and core values as InterCity has with their fleet and drivers.

You get what you pay for. Take that cheap deal and you'll probably see a photo of your vehicle on a train with hobos sleeping in it on Facebook, but hey - you got a great price to move it from coast to coast right? Yes, I'm cynical about that because that is exactly what internet vehicle transport brokers tend to do; quote low and then go and try to find a carrier that is so desperate for one more car that they'll take the low price deal. Who do you think is out shopping the internet to find cars they can move that is driving? Only the trucks and drivers that can't get a load because of their reputation. Its like shopping for a cheap doctor to do your open heart surgery; do really you the cheapest guy doing this for you?
