Unbelieveably horrible service.

So they originally told me that it would be no problem to ship my car from Ohio to Colorado as it was only a four day trip and there was plenty of time to get a transporter to pick up the car. They charged an up front deposit and never found any one to pick up the car. After being inundated with emails from many different transport companies, some with their own trucks and some just as brokers, I found out that there are some unscrupulous outfits that ask for a deposit, low ball the amount that they say they can ship the vehicle for, and then wait for you to cancel so that they can keep $87.50 of the deposit. This is how Heartland operated and is obviously how they pad their income, by ripping people off for the deposit! It appears the there are many similar places (You can't really call them companies) that use this tactic. I am now forced to fly there to pick up the car, since we could never find a transporter which we could trust. Remember, If they are a broker, stay away! If you look up their address on Google Earth and the business looks shady, stay away! If they do not operate their own trucks, stay away! If they are called Heartland, STAY AWAY!!!
