The transport broker (Goodfellas Shipping) I hired to transport my Mercedes-Benz charged a deposit for providing a service. The agreed upon price totaled at $750 ($150 to the Broker and $600 to the driver). The locked in pickup of the vehicle was supposedly scheduled.I called the broker to verify that the vehicle was scheduled to be picked up and to inform him that I never received the driver’s information. The agreement stated that after payment the driver’s information will be emailed to me. When I informed him of this he said he emailed it to me and he would email it again, he would call the driver and call me back with the verification of the pickup. The vehicle was not picked up and I never received a call or email. I call to cancel the entire transaction and he informed me that we had an agreed upon time of seven days to ship the vehicle before I can cancel and receive a refund on my deposit via the contract. I called the broker and he asked if I was happy that the vehicle was being picked.I informed him that I had no idea what he was talking about. He informed me that he sent me an email with the driver’s information and pickup/drop-off dates. I check me email and I received the name, number, and dates. No cash on delivery amount. Before they removed the car from the transport trailer he informed me the amount due to him was $850. I immediately said I agreed to $600. The driver showed me his agreement with the broker for $850 and said this is what he needs or he will take the vehicle. I called the broker and he put me on hold to find out what happened, after being on hold for 30 minutes I hung up. I called back and he informed me that his dispatcher posted the rate for transporting the vehicle at $850. Then informed me that there was a note in the documents that said he spoke with the customer about the price increase. I never talked to anyone about the increase.
