Frank's Auto Shipping - CA to TX

My biggest concern with shipping our vehicle was a fear that our car simply wouldn't be picked up. A lot of companies are middlemen in the industry and we wanted to use a company with a solid BBB rating that actually ships cars themselves, instead of simply being a booking agency.

The carrier was a day early, which worked out fine, however my husband said the driver who picked up our car was pretty sketchy looking. He apparently was wearing an old stained t-shirt and didn't inspire much confidence. Obviously our car made it cross-country intact, but his demeanor didn't do much to alleviate our fears. When the car was delivered to our family in Texas, it arrived with all of its fluids drained, i.e., it couldn't be driven. I guess this is standard practice, but we had never shipped a vehicle before and it wasn't mentioned. Unfortunately this put us in the awkward position of having to ask my mom-in-law to service our car for us (it arrived a week before we did). I just wish that had been mentioned so that we could have been prepared.

All in all, I'm still glad we went with Frank's - our car made it safely there, on-time (3 days from CA to TX), in one piece, and we paid exactly what we were quoted ($975).
