Lack of Information/Poor Service

I have never paid someone to move my car...so I didn't know how the game works. We (customers) are working through a third party who puts our bid onto another website where the people who actually pick the cars up go to. They in turn look for the best priced haul in the area they are going to be in; the bigger the deposit and better the price the faster you get serviced...that would have been nice to know so I could have made the decision if I wanted to offer more to have my car picked up. Next the service rep didn't tell me that the date I asked my car to be picked up was not the date that they would actually pick it up...I had someone waiting most of the day only to find out that no one was coming. When I called the service # I mostly got the phone machine and no one returned my calls. Finally when I reached someone they told me that they couldn't promise a pick up date (see first issue)

For the newbies like me; there are 100s of these types of transport arrangers (you don't deal w/ the people who actually deliver the cars across the county) so you would think that if the only thing they had to do is provide a arrangement service you think they would want to do that really well...Domestic Auto Transport dropped the ball this time when it came to service. Yes the car got dropped off a few days later and it wasn't damaged (Thank God) but since when did we start setting the bar so low. For people doing this for the first time I recommend calling around to someone else who will explain the process to you...if you are flexible you can always get a low rate but if not you want to know your options.

Jeff, Thank you for the review. I am sorry that we could not get your vehicle picked up as quickly as you had liked. You recieved a quote off of this website, Transport Reviews. When you called in off the quote I exspalined that your quote went out a little low. You were the one that decided to leave it at the quote amount to see if we could get a carrier for you. I also very clearly exsplained that they available date is THE FIRST day that we could pick up the vehicle, and it can take any where from 1-7 days to get the vehicle secured to a carrier. Thanks for the review however i would like to state from the reviews of other customers that you can read on this site that I feel you are being a little unfair in the rating and statements.
