I was very worried about shipping my car because I have heard from family members that the person you talk to at auto transport companies is just a middle-man and the shipping companies have poor communication with the actual trucking company and no one can give you an exact amount or date. I also heard that I shouldn't expect to be able to have any cargo in the vehicle. I went to the Better Business Bureau website and looked for a highly rated auto transport company in the Fort Lauderdale area. Direct Connect had some positive reviews so I called them.

I spoke to Nathan Hutson on the phone. Mr. Hutson made some phone calls and he called me back right away with a quote and an arrival day. He then gave me his phone number, e-mail address, and even his personal cell phone number so I could contact him about the contract I needed to sign. The contract was an electronic contract so I didn't need to go to their office. Mr. Hutson also arranged to have my car picked up right from where it was already parked. When I had an issue with the delivery address after I had (stupidly) already signed the contract, Mr. Hutson was totally willing to change it.

I was able to contact Mr. Hutson after work hours and on the weekend, and he was very prompt about getting back to me. The other staff at Direct Connect were very knowledgeable and eager to help as well. The car arrived exactly when he said it would arrive, and Mr. Hutson even arranged to have it stored overnight so I could pick it up the next day. I didn't have to lift a finger, and he did this at no extra charge!

Direct Connect clearly has a good relationship with shippers and storage facilities all over the country and I was allowed to pack up to 100 lbs of personal belongings in the car. I have no idea how competitive their prices are with other shippers, but they are very reliable and you cannot put a price on that when it comes to your car. I went into this expecting a disaster, but it turned out to be a very positive experience. I would recommend Direct Connect to anyone
