Complete Auto Sales picked up our vehicle on 05/14/07. Delivery was to be 05/21/07 so we waited for our vehicle and no one showed up. On 05/22/07 I called CAS and left a message; “where is our vehicle?” I did not get a call back until 2 days later.
Ed said they had lost our phone number, so they could not deliver the vehicle. Ed then advised he wanted me to send him a certified check for the full amount, over night to his attention. I asked where my vehicle was, he said Bakersfield and it would not be delivered for another 2 weeks, because he would not have another transport in this area until that time, and by the way it would have to be picked up at a Walmart store being it was against the law for the transporter to be on city streets (yeh right!!) At this point I was wondering what was truly going on with my truck. I told “Ed” he would NOT be receiving a check until my truck was in my possession, he then became shall we say a real “prize”. I then told him I would be contacting the company I hired to move the truck in the first place, which was Dash Auto Movers. They advised me my truck was in Modesto!!
This was suppose to be a door to door delivery….this company contacted “Ed” and was advised we would have our truck within 1 week, the week came and went, still no truck.
I threatened to have to vehicle reported stolen being know one really knew where it was at this point. More time passed…I finally received a call from CAS (Complete Auto Sales) on June 5th advising the truck would be delivered today, around 9:00 pm, I received a call from the driver, he wanted to know what exit to take off the interstate,
(I was NOT driving to Walmart) I gave him the nearest exit to my home, which was no where near a Walmart. This driver ended up delivering my vehicle on one of the darkest streets in town, and yes you guessed it, the truck was damaged! Too make a long story short (too late….) Ed had no knowledge of the damage to my vehicle, even though I did not sign the bill of lading. Needless to say I received the insurance check on August 18th, no thanks to “Ed” but by a wonderful claims supervisor we worked diligently on my behalf and put “Ed” in his place. Please be weary when dealing with Complete Auto Sales.
