Advance notification issues

Cascade customer service was very courteous and explained to me what was the most convenient way to ship my vehicle. I had to do a number of time changes for pick-up which ended up altering the whole shipping schedule. Finally I was informed that a shipper would pick up my car and deliver it the same day, and that I was going to be informed ahead of time when pick-up and delivery was going to occur. Here is where communication broke down. The person that was handing in the car to shipper was never notified and he was awaken in the middle of the night for pick up. I was not notified either, not for the pick up or the delivery, and the shipper arrived earlier and unannounced while I was somewhere else. The delivery ended up costing $50 dollars more than quoted, however, it was still competitive and the car arrived in good condition.
I believe that if Cascade ensures acknowledgement of its policy of announcing in advance the pick-up and delivery by the shippers, and this is enforced it would be an excellent company.
