Terrible Experience

Where to begin....
I contacted Bullseye to arrange transport of my car from NJ to CA after reading all of the reviews on this website. In the end I was just happy to get my car in one piece. My car was scheduled to be picked up between May 13-16 in order to make it to SF by the 23rd when I would be arriving by air to pick up my car and drive to my new home in the North Bay area. I was told that it would possibly even arrive ahead of me and would be stored in a lot they sometimes use for a daily fee. Sounded great to me and I made my flight reservations and finalized the start date of my new job.
Then the problems began, first with the pick up- as the days ticked by I kept calling to see when the trucking company would come...the 14th, 15th, 17th rolled by and I kept getting the same answer "tomorrow, we will be there" from both Bullseye and Trio Trucking. I frantically started looking for a new company, but with 1 days notice it was impossible and then they finally picked up the car. At this point I recieved the startling information that the truck would not be going to CA, but next to Boston!! I had no choice as I was struggling to get everything done before I left and figured my car would be a few days late at most. I arrived in SF and rented a car. I had a week to go before starting my new job and plently of time to get my car when it arrived- or so I thought. After several calls (again) it turned out my car was stuck in AZ where, something was wrong with the truck and it would be further delayed. Then I was told that the truck was actually going to LA first, then SF so I would need to wait yet again. At this point I had extended my rental car several times and by the time my car arrived I had started working at my new company already. I know my boss was super impressed that I had to take a half day my first week to drive to Sf and get my car- when it finally arrived on June 1st.
In the end, after alluding to me possibly leaving a terrible review, I got $100 back (not enough to even cover the rental car, never mind the unbelievable hassle) and was told by Carla that I had no recourse because the trucking company and the brokers are independant of one another. What a great scam! The trucking company says it's the brokers fault for not giving them the right booking info and Bullseye says it's the trucking company's fault and the customer always loses.

So my suggestion is to call up a friend, dig up some maps and plan that cross coutry trip you always dreamed about, and drive your own car to its destination.
